Let’s face the hard truth, it’s challenging for us to resort back to the pre-Spotify/streaming era, where people had to pay more than 15 USD for access to only a limited amount of music. It’s cheap, accessible, and gives you weird end-of-the-year summaries of your listening history that gives you another excuse to post on your Instagram stories.
스포티파이 등 스트리밍 서비스의 영향으로 인해 음악은 한달에 만오천원이라는 값이 매겨졌다는 사실을 거스르기는 힘들 것 같습니다. 스트리밍은 값싸고, 간편하고, Spotify Wrapped 같은 연말 결산은 인스타그램에 한번더 포스팅 할 수 있는 구실을 만들어주죠.
But let’s say you’ve found a sudden need to start downloading music again (most likely DJing), and realize that the streaming services don’t provide that option. Buying music from Bandcamp and Beatport seem too expensive (for now), so you’re on the search for some free tunes that you can load up on the decks. This post is for those people, alongside anyone who are also looking for some free rapid firing breakbeat downloads. Labels that are doing God’s work, and that have really helped me with my DJing journey. Obviously there are tons of talented independent artists who release free edits on Soundcloud, but this post will focus mainly on labels.
하지만, 모종의 이유에서 (아마도 디제잉일 가능성이 높겠죠) 음원을 다운로드해야 하는 이유가 생겼네요. 이번 포스트는 Bandcamp, Beatport에서 음원을 구매하는 것은 (아직) 너무 비싸 보여서, 무료 다운로드를 찾게 나서게 된 분들과, 고퀄리티의 무료 다운로드 음원을 찾는 분들을 위한 포스트입니다. 사운드 클라우드를 탐색하다 보면 정말 훌륭한 무료 에딧들을 공유하는 개인 아티스트들도 많지만, 이번 포스트는 무료 다운로드를 제공하는 레이블들 위주로 공유하겠습니다. 정말 고마운 레이블 들이자, 저도 도움을 톡톡히 많이 받은 레이블들로요.

Their tunes have been demolishing worldwide, with support from everyone from DJ Swisha to Pete Cannon. A lot of their releases are up for free download on their Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Singularity UK is a London based event series/label/collective that has been throwing grassroots events in the UK for the past 5 years. Represented by the Bass Injector, Guido YZ, Cheetah, Janaway, and Silva Snipa, I’ve heard from my mates in London that their events go hard. They’ve been focusing to push sound system culture in London for the past year, recently pairing up with the legendary Odyssey sound system and Hardcore legend Pete Cannon for what looked like one hell of a party. They haven’t been releasing new free downloads lately, but their earlier releases available on their Sound Cloud have some heavy weight smashers.
런던 기반의 이벤트 시리즈/레이블/크루인 Singularity UK는 지난 5년간 커뮤니티 기반의 이벤트를 열어왔습니다. Jungle Fatigue is a label/community started by South Korean Jungle enigma Sawteeth. They’ve been releasing quality compilations as free downloads for the past 4 years, and have a very active, lovely Discord community as well, where people exchange tunes, samples, techniques, feedback, and good chats. Go to their Bandcamp page for the link to the Discord. Lovely label/community with some of my favorite jazzy Jungle tracks. Real DIY stuff.

Sounds of the sewer. Their name and one look at their artworks would give you a good idea of what type of music this label releases – dark, heavy, and moody. These guys have some serious bass heavy weapons that will push the subwoofers to their limits. Really good Dubstep, Breaks, and Jungle here on their Soundcloud.

Okay I honestly forgot about these guys for a while because I haven’t been Soundcloud digging since my very first DJing days(I’m Stage 4 Bandcamp Addict help), but I remembered finding this sick one by Mercian Breakz after following Fez the Kid or Worsleyy & Glinks.
사실 사운드클라우드 디깅을 디제잉 처음 시작할때 이후에 하고 있지 않아서 이 분들을 잠시 잊고 있었는데, Mercian Breakz의 끝내주는 곡이 생각이 나서 포스팅합니다. 여기도 라인업이 좋네요.

Great label with tons of good free releases with a lot of UKG, and a few Hardcore releases, but seems like the pretty big back catalogue would be worth the dive!
